Step away from your device and join us on the Riverfront!
Embrace Screen-Free Week with a free yoga class hosted by Alchemy Movement, followed by a riverfront clean-up in collaboration with Middletown Recreation and hosted by The Gaian Guild of Middletown.
Yoga Practice 9am - 10am
Founded in 2021 by Artistic Director Mariah Rasmussen, Alchemy Movement aims to create and offer movement rooted in strength, fluidity, and nature. This organization exists to offer movement based practices in both dance and yoga.
Please bring your own mat or towel, as well as bottled water.
Clean-Up 9am - 12pm
The cinder + salt team will be convening at Harbor Park where we will concentrate our clean-up efforts. For the adventurous, we can work our way along River Road. Volunteers may arrive anytime beginning at 9am.
All supplies are provided though you may want to sunglasses, a jacket, your own work gloves if you have them and a water bottle/snacks. Parking is free at the park.
This event is weather permitting; If we need to cancel due to heavy rain or inclement weather, we will reschedule for the following day. If weather persists, this event will be cancelled.
This event is kid friendly, if accompanied by a guardian. All participants you register within 1 week of this event will receive a free volunteer t-shirt.
Approx one week before the event you will receive an email confirming your registration. There will be a short survey requesting your shirt size; please respond in a timely manner so that all volunteers will have a t-shirt waiting for them.
